Day 1 Welcome to Leon
With a well preserved and neat city center, Leon deserves to be deeply explored. In addition to its monumental historical center, the 13th century Gothic Cathedral has extremely remarkable stained-glass windows and some of the finest examples in the world. Later, at the end of the day head to Barrio Húmedo for some Tapas and Wine.
Day 2 Ride though the vast plains of Castilla Y Leon Region
Leaving Leon behind, experience the quiet roads along agricultural fields. The little villages are surprisingly well worth the small detours! Astorga offers a blend of old and new atmosphere, together with Old Roman Ruins, a 15th century Cathedral and the Episcopal Palace designed by Gaudi in the early 1900’s. (Road: 49km/30m or MTB: 50km/31m)
Day 3 Ancient rituals at Cruz de Ferro
Vast plains give place to zigzagging roads up the mountains. As soon as you leave Ranabal del Camino, you will start climbing up to the iconic Cruz de Ferro. Shortly, you will ride downhill, past the beautiful stone houses with wooden balconies in the village of El Acebo. Later, Ponferrada with its Templar Castle marks the entrance to the El Bierzo Region. (Road: 77km/48m or MTB: 75km/47m)
Day 4 The mythical O’Cebreiro Village
A long, steady climb takes you over and up to the El Cebreiro village, well known for its iconic round stone houses. Once there, enjoy the views of the lush Galicia mountains! With the green countryside in the background, you will ride past the iconic 6th century Monastery of Samos before arriving in Sarria. (Road: 75km/47m or MTB: 68km/42m)
Day 5 Green Galicia
The undulating terrain takes you across forests and farmlands. From the a hilltop you will spot a large dam and then ride past the town of Portomarin on the banks of the Minho River. Continue on the ups and downs of Galicia until arriving in Arzua, the last major town of the Camino. (Road: 78km/48m or MTB: 75km/47m)
Day 6 Accomplishment: Santiago de Santiago
A growing sense of expectation will inspire and motivate you as you bike further across valleys, rivers and past a series of villages. Once arriving at the Monte do Gozo viewpoint have a glimpse of the Santiago Cathedral Towers. Reaching the Cathedral is every pilgrim’s objective, finally, your Camino Bike Trip will be accomplished. (Road: 43km/27m or MTB: 41km/25m)

Eat & Drink
Spain is a diverse country with each region featuring unique cultural traces;
Which significantly reflects in the gastronomy as well.
Tapas or Pintxos, a small savory dish and the Jamon, cured ham can be found throughout the country and certainly are well worth the try!
In the Castile-Leon region, meat is a great part of the majority in traditional dishes, therefore, you can easily find,
the Cocido Maragato (Castilian Stew,) a very satisfying meal, including several types of meat, chickpeas, and cabbage.
Once in Galicia there is an abundance of fresh shellfish, including mussels and scallops.
The Pulpo a la Gallega, sliced octopus over potatoes drizzled with olive oil and paprika, traditionally served on a wooden plate is pretty popular.
Go for the Caldo Galego, an hearty meal, a “sturdy broth”, including meat, potatoes, beans, cabbage and other greens.
For a quick meal, Empanada Gallega, a savory pie, which can have different fillings, like meat, shellfish, greens, etc.
Try some Tapas, especially in Galicia, go for the Pimientos de Padron, small mild green peppers, sautéed in olive oil and sprinkled with coarse sea salt.
Finally, for dessert, the Tarta de Santiago, a cake made with almonds, eggs, sugar and a touch of lemon zest, can be found throughout Spain.
